Fort Knox is supposed to be the primary repository of America’s gold reserves. There have been rumors that the gold is missing or has disappeared. Edmund C. He tells his stories about visiting Fort Knox that will answer this question about America’s gold. Source: Coin Week

The fourth question that I usually get is, is there really gold in Fort Knox? And I’m one of the very few people in [the United States that can actually say] I’ve been to Fort, not only have I been to Fort Knox, I’ve been inside Fort Knox and I’ve seen the gold. So I know it’s actually there. Yes. You’ve had a position. (Validation he was in position to visit Fort Knox.)

One of the responsibilities of the Mint Director is besides running the mint, which makes our circulating coins, our numismatic products and our precious gold bullion. [I also have the United States Mint police], and that’s 350 people with very big guns. Seel. Into this empty vessel. (seel: archaic – close (a person’s eyes); prevent (someone) from seeing. An indication there’s no gold.)

And one of their jobs is to protect our Nation’s gold reserves. Which are primarily at [uh Fort Knox, but also at] our Denver, and our West Point facilities. I also abscond offer.

As the new Mint Director it’s usually pretty traditional for the Mint Director to then visit all of the various facilities, which I ended up doing every single year. Making my rounds at every single facility, holding town halls at every single shift, for every single employee, just to make sure the whole family was singing out of the same hymn book. And [one of those facilities is the uh Fort Knox]. Scant offer is the loss of soul now.

Here as the Mint Director I’m going through all the levels of security to get inside. And, you know, my heart was beating really hard, you know, your one of the few people that have a chance to experience history. And so anyway, [when I finally got in and the big uh front] doors open up. Not forget, but the night I can now handle.

When they shut, they make a huge resounding thud. Uh [uh when their locked again]. That’s all I can tell you without having to kill everybody in the audience. Now you cower in the lie.

Roosevelt had made it illegal for Americans to physically possess gold coins. And he melted all those gold coins, and that’s [what ended up being the initial stock at Fort Knox]. Scandal get caught. Socially a need for the metal.

When you take a look at these bars, each one’s numbered. They have to be taken out, counted, and assayed to make sure, [you know, they still have everything in it that their supposed to]. We’re soldiers. The panicking is in the battle, shed light.

I can personally vouch that there is gold at [Fort Knox, and I personally have seen it]. When it’s finished you’ll feel its scandal.
