“I Help Push It”: Reverse Speech Analysis Of One Year Old Child Using Ipad.

Reverse speech research has discovered that children speak backwards before they do forward. From as early as 4 months of age they are pronouncing simple words in reverse. And by the time they reach 13-14 months of age complex words are forming in reverse.

A child is playing with an Ipad. They’re moving their hand about the screen making the screen change.

What Does Reverse Speech Analysis Reveal?

The reversal is significant, because it is context with the action of the child who can not speak words, gibberish, in the forward.

Gibberish. I help push it.

I help push it.

16 Month Old Emelia Talking To Her Father On The Phone.

Original Video Where Reversal Was Found on 16 Month Old Emelia.

What Are The Details?

From the description of the video, “Here is Emelia at about 16 months old talking to daddy on the phone…in her own language. You may be able to make out a few words here and there. Listen for “num num nummies” (food), and “buggy” (when she sees a bug outside).”

What Does Reverse Speech Analysis Reveal?

Interestingly the person recording makes reference to “buggy” in the description of the video as being one of the words to make out in the video. That is where the reversal occurs.

[Gibberish, Daddy dead buggy]. It’s hard for Daddy, had to go.
