Nancy Pelosi claimed she was never briefed on the types of interrogations that were used during the Bush Administration. The Senate Intelligence Committee later put out a timeline of what went on in regard to the interrogation practices. It made clear that in the fall of 2002 key members of the intelligence committee, including Nancy Pelosi, were briefed on interrogation methods including waterboarding.
Press Meeting
Question: At the time you were briefed {about interrogation methods, including water boarding}, did you raise objections?
Nancy Pelosi: …What they did tell us is that they had some, The Office of Legislative Council opinions that they could be used… Most likely it should never survive.
…A. B. Uh, know that there are some different interpretations coming out of that meeting my colleague, the chairman of the committee… When she asked about the outfit, must hear they’re doing that.
… has said “Well if they say that it’s legal you have to know they are going to use them”… You know they’re going to battle your will. Say that they are shit.
…and maybe his experience is that if they tell you one thing they may mean something else… Nobody like the outfit that exists.
Over time the intelligence in the Bush years became intelligence became part of supplementals… I make up the lies that make it their issue. In this make the lies made masterful.
And it is clear that that now that that has happened… The bastard had the wine. (“Wine” is a metaphor. WINE; the essence of the spirit; wine is to the spirit what blood is to the body; the spiritual nature.)
