They said it was something about, it had something on it you know and I got rid of it. I didn't do that. I mean it was some little insert in the back of the vehicle back there that kind of like, [if you put something in your way] you know or whatever like that. But she had taken it out sometime. I don't know when, or lost it. Again we had bought two to go back there. She lost, she'd take it by the car wash and forget to put them back in, so I don't know if she did that.

I oriented the deception.

Then the matt that was in there that had sat down on top of everything I guess been vacuumed it because they said it had vacuum marks on it. And they accused me of cleaning that up. And so, [but the F.B.I. took the vacuu]m cleaner bags and there was nothing in there.

I kept the knife at home.

(Knife used here may mean: to attempt to defeat or undermine in a secret or underhanded way. Could it be another vacuum was used to clean her vehicle, but he kept it hidden from investigators?)

As far as me being down there, I don't , I don't remember being down there, I mean not that far out. But like I said though they knew, they knew their search area before they prosecuted me. Like I said to the guy, I said I was on Ridge Way Road, and they just stayed over there and stayed over there. You know on Ridge Way Road, searching this area, searching this area.
