Seattle Times – Edward Lighthart
Edward Lighthart, who was found leaving a park in Seattle, Washington in July 2009 with apparent amnesia, reappeared in Las Vegas, New Mexico in November 2009, again with no apparent memory of who he is.
He is a well-educated expert on European art and cultural history, and a former chef, who grew up in Arizona but has spent the better part of the past 20 years in Europe and Asia.
Interviews with family and friends revealed a long history of emotional turmoil that seemed to culminate in 2008 when he ended up in Calgary, Alberta. He spent a few months there homeless, and landed in a psychiatric hospital after being viewed as suicidal. The Canadian government accused him of freeloading social services and deported him.
The following audio is from a press conference he held in August 2009;
[Since I've been able to focus] on things, I watch television. I don't recognize the programming. The programming just doesn't make sense. It's something that's totally alien to me. I look in the newspaper try to do the crossword puzzle. I don't understand the clue references. So there's been a period of time that I've lost cultural gap to this country.

(“Wolf” and “business” are metaphors. The human mind thinks in metaphors and images. According to David J. Oates dictionary of metaphors, “wolf” is the part of one’s ability to be motivated and strong. It also directly influences success and control of life. “Business” although it’s meaning has been found to be imprecise, it seems to describe the activities of the unconscious mind. So it would seem his mind is not motivated or strong, and therefore not functioning to full capacity.)

(Is it possible “gray” is a reference to his brain, if so, could this mean he has a sickness in his brain? During the entire 24 minute media conference only 2 speech reversals stood out, and they both have a potential reference to his mind. He has been diagnosed with dissociative amnesia. Dissociative amnesia is due to psychological rather than physiological causes.)
